She is known for starring in the reality show 'Denise Richards The Complicated' and for playing the role of Debra Simon in the comedic show Mountain State. Her other credits include playing in numerous films including 'The world is Not Enough', "Wild Things', 'Starship Troopers' and 'Love Actually', to name a few. She was born in Downers Grove, Illinois, to a father of a telephone engineer and a cafe owner mother, Richards grew up living in Downers Grove and Mokena alongside her younger sister Michelle. She went to El Camino High School and Downers Grove North High School. Following her high school graduation it was her turn to start working as a model for fashion. She was a model in popular cities such as Paris, Tokyo, New York and did photoshoots and commercials. In the end, she began acting in addition. A passionate animal lover, Richards is associated with a number of organizations that provide for the protection of animals. She has also raised her dogs and cat for many years.
