JenniferJennifer always wanted to become a multi-tasking celebrity. As a child, Jennifer enjoyed many musical styles, mostly Afro-Caribbean musics like merengue, salsa, and the bachata. She also loved mainstream music , like hip-hop pop, pop and R&B. She was a lover of music, but was also fascinated by the world of film. West Side Story, a musical written by Rita Moreno (1961), was her most significant source of inspiration. At 5, Jennifer began taking singing and dancing lessons. Alongside being a talented professional entertainer Jennifer was also a Catholic schoolgirlwho attended eight years of the Catholic elementary school called Holy Family situated in The Bronx, before graduating from an all-girls prep school, Preston High School after four years of attendance. Jennifer did well in sports at school and competed in track and field and tennis. In Castle Hill, she spent her childhood in a 2-story house. Jennifer moved out of her parents' house at 18 , to leave. Lopez worked at a law office during this period while also performing dance at night.
